Hanukkah shabbaton at the Menorah for youth
We lighted up
Shabbat candles and Hanukkah lights; lit at a bright party on Motzei Shabbat
The fire also ignited in our souls during the wonderful Torah lessons, its sparks were visible in the eyes of the participants during the joyful moments of meetings with friends.
With the huge support of the Dnipro Jewish community and the organization STARS Ukraine, almost 30 students
spent Hanukkah Shabbat together. By the way, this is the second such shabaton from STL, which means the beginning of a new tradition

Hanukkah party for school 144 students
One of the customs of the holiday is upbringing.
And its task is to do everything possible so that both children and adults do not forget about the mercy of the Almighty shown to the Jewish people and fulfill his commandments. This was the key theme of our holiday for students of school 144, our children proved to themselves that they are real warriors of light!
The Rebbe asked in the year of Hakel to gather all the Jews together.
We wanted to show the children that everyone can bring light into the world with their good deeds, but doing it together is much more pleasant and better.
We treated each other with donuts, gave cards, said psukim and tegilim. For this, everyone received their portion of gold, which was supposed to fill one large common lamp. All the children were imbued with the idea of unification and, of course, we managed to achieve the goal very quickly.
Parents, teachers, and most importantly children were happy! Everyone left with a good mood and a Hanukkah gift!

At our Sunday meeting on the last day of the holiday, we also added some light, warmth and kindness to this world!
How? We learned to do good deeds, to give joy and to warm with warmth!
They also made Hanukkah crafts and gifts for each other and, of course, treated themselves to donuts!
We wish everyone that the light that Hanukkah gave us would drive away the darkness and warm us all.
Brit Milah in the Stars Dnepr project: Congratulations to Mikhail Lavruk on entering into the covenant of Abraham! Mazal Tov, Michael Lavruk!
Mikhail Lavruk, a student of Stars Dnipro, a project of the Jewish Community of Dnipro in the field of non-formal education for youth, supported by STL, made a responsible decision and entered into the Testament of Abraham.
The Brit-Mila ceremony was held at the Jewish Medical Center "JMC" and was held by the Chief Mohel of Ukraine and Moldova, a representative of the international organization "Brit Yosef Yitzchak", Rabbi Yakov Gaisinovich, who was assisted by Professor Alexander Rodinsky.
The honorary role of sandak was played by Reb Natan Lazarev, who also read the blessings and proclaimed - "And let him be called Michael among the people of Israel!"
At the end of the ceremony, a commanded meal was held at the Menorah Cafe, during which Michael Lavruk was congratulated by members of the Jewish community and students of the Stars Dnepr project.

Every week, our center hosts educational sessions of the STARS program.

Lessons with leading speakers, farbrengens, shabbats, parties and much more we organize for our students.

Programs Kids&Juniors
Every Sunday on the 8th floor of the Menorah we hold meetings for children and teenagers
In our classes, children listen to a lesson on a weekly chapter, in which we highlight a topic that is relevant in accordance with modern realities so that it will be useful to our participants in life. They create beautiful crafts with their own hands at workshops and improve their soft skills during games with madrichs and various events.
Also during the program, we obligatory feed the participants with a delicious and kosher lunch.
On average, about 20 children and 12 teenagers attend our programs every week
