Elul
Art therapy for participants of the "Stars Dnipro" project
In the psychological support center "Or Shalom," a three-day painting workshop was organized for students of "Stars Dnipro." Over these few days, around 12 of our students attended the workshop, investing profound meaning into their paintings, which they tried to convey with colors. The works turned out truly beautiful and vibrant, and now they hang in the center of "Or Shalom," where every visitor can contemplate their beauty.
Trip to Hadyach for Women on the Eve of 18 Elul
On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the festival of the two luminaries on the 18th of Elul, a group of women, including our students from the "Stars Ukraine" program, went on a journey to the resting place of the Alter Rebbe to pray.
At the righteous one's gravesite, they sought his protection before the Almighty, prayed for peace in Ukraine and worldwide, and for a favorable inscription in the Book of Life. In Hadyach itself, the women had a wonderful farbrengen with Sheina Smilansky and Daniela Lestengurt, where they absorbed energy, sang nigunim that united everyone, and it became a beautiful conclusion to the Akel year.

Farbrengens in Honor of 18 Elul
In Dnipro, two farbrengens were also held for the "STARS" students, organized separately for women and men. Tsipora Shufitinska led the women's farbrengen, while Rabbi Moishe Noyman took charge of organizing the men's. Both events were filled with deep reflections, the exchange of experiences, and, of course, the joy of connecting with friends.
Approximately 10 boys and 10 girls were present at the gatherings.
Tishrey
Rosh Hashanah
We started the year 5784 right and in the company of cool Jewish friends. Here's how it went:
Youth
For the youth, it was a wonderful opportunity to observe Rosh Hashanah fully. Our participants stayed at the Menorah in the "7 Days" hotel, attended prayers and the sounding of the shofar in the synagogue, and enjoyed large and beautiful festive meals. During their free time, they could also attend exciting events organized by our team. In total, there were more than 30 students with us.
Holiday meal for Teenagers
After a long break, we organized the first event of the year for students in grades 7-10. Around 15 boys and girls joined us, and together we listened to the shofar, enjoyed a kosher meal, recited all the blessings, played fun games, and had a fantastic time. At the end, all the kids received tasty gifts to take home.
Day Camp for Children on Sukkot

We organized a 4-day day camp, already beloved by everyone.
Morning prayers, games with counselors, fun activities and lessons, love and care – we managed to fit all of this into such a short period of time.
More than 30 children left satisfied and happy, and we are already prepared to delight them with our upcoming projects.
Sukkot Party for Teens in Dnipro
In Dnipro, a Sukkot party for teenagers took place on the rooftop of the "Menorah." About 20 participants gathered to fulfill one of the main commandments of the holiday – the waving of the lulav – and to have a fun time.
Initially, the teens enjoyed a delicious and kosher meal in the sukkah, during which they divided into two teams and, in a game format, tested their knowledge of the holiday. Later, they competed against each other on amusement rides.
To conclude the event, the results were announced:
The winning team earned tasty prizes, and the grand prize – an electric scooter in the lottery – was won by Vasilisa Cherepakhina.

Sukkot Party for Youth
Sukkot was celebrated at "Stars Dnipro," a project of the Jewish Community of Dnipro in the field of informal education for youth, supported by STL. This year, the party emphasized the importance of unity among all Jews, bringing students and teachers together.
For the first time in the "Stars" project, there was a joint party for students and teachers. In the beautiful sukkah on the roof of the "Menorah," we all gathered to fulfill the three main commandments of Sukkot: waving the lulav, having a festive meal in the sukkah, and rejoicing. The "Stars" participants and our teachers have long become a united family, and during the holidays, a family should be together. We started with a small but meaningful lesson from Rabbi Moishe Noyman, who once again emphasized the idea of joy in Sukkot. And who are we to argue with a teacher? So, we immediately went on to have fun, play on rides, dance, play guitars, and earn points for our teams.

Our regular events
Weekly STARS Lessons
STARS Basis
Every week, we have 2 hours of classes led by our top teachers. About 10 students consistently join us, embarking on their journey in the study of Torah and commandments. This adds up to 80 hours of classes per month.
STARS Intensive
For more advanced young men and women in their Jewish studies, we offer 8 hours of classes per week. Approximately 15 students attend our intensive sessions on Jewish laws every week. This accumulates to 32 hours of classes per month.
Farbrengens for Guys

Every Thursday, we organize farbrengens for men. These gatherings create a pleasant atmosphere filled with Torah teachings and melodies. Around 10 guys join us each time. During Elul and Tishrei, we hosted 8 farbrengens attended by 83 guys.
Farbrengens for Girls
On significant Jewish dates, we conduct farbrengens for our female students. These events provide an opportunity not only for delicious and kosher meals but also for learning something new and perhaps taking on new commitments. About 15 girls join us each time. In Elul and Tishrei, we had 3 farbrengens with 43 participants.
Children's Programs
In the month of Sivan, we concluded our children's programs and went on summer break, but here is some information about them.
KIDS Programs
Every Sunday, we host gatherings for Jewish children aged 6 to 12. Participants listen to Torah lessons, create beautiful crafts in workshops, and engage in educational games with counselors. We consistently have about 20 children joining us every Sunday.
Workshop Studio
On our floor, there is a studio offering developmental workshops. Our classes include chess, gymnastics, drawing, beadwork, and woodworking.
Project "Shabbat Together"
Thanks to the full support of the Dnipro Jewish Community, our students have the opportunity to fully observe Shabbat every week. Menorah provides comfortable rooms for us at the "7days" hotel, and many families in our community happily invite us for meals in their homes.
On Saturdays, all students make it a point to attend prayers and Torah reading at the synagogue, followed by joining the communal meal at Menorah. In the months of Elul and Tishrei, we had 9 Shabbats together, with approximately 110 students joining us.
